Stashed away beyond the chutes, near the headwalls of Vasque Cirque is a ski hut called Mesa Verde. A local favorite! Unfortunately last week's high winds(+100mph) destroyed a large portion of it’s infrastructure (if you could call it that). It still made for a great place to catch a breather out of the cold.
There is a 25 foot branch ladder climb up a rock face to this hut.
JP (Bob Gnarely) and I stopped to enjoy the basin view.
