A Watercolor

Will Floats in Guernsey Lake on a hot summer afternoon, Guernsey Lake WY circa 1998.
A "face practice" painting I whipped up for my cube at work.

It was so hot(near 100F) that day as I remember. Too hot to fish, it felt great to be on the cool water with a luke warm beer and my brother. At the time both attending Colorado State and on summer break, we hadn't a care in the world.

I'm working on faces because I find mine not quite right and mottled, like I painted them with a Q-tip. I really admire portrait artist who can create smooth lines and detail, capturing a person with paint and paper.

As a top level project of the Boulder Mountainbike Alliance, Valmont Bike Park is being created through the partnering and cooperation of the City of Boulder Parks and Recreation, the International Mountain Biking Association and their trail building resources and expertise, and, most importantly, members of the Boulder community at large who have volunteered massive labor, management, and financial support to the Park. This unique harmony has enabled the town to create an environment that exemplifies the region’s stunning natural beauty and the commitment to sustaining the natural habitat of the park's surroundings.VBP Park Map 8.5x11
- I never thought I'd see the day where they actually put in dirt jumps for BMX riders. Most of my life developers have flattened and built houses on my favorite places to ride BMX, hours of jump building lost...hints the mtn bike habit.

Can't wait to ride the Valmont Bike Park!
