This weekend I headed up to the James Peak Wilderness (Rogers Pass) to scout out possible sites for a snow cave or an igloo to be built later this season. The plan is to create some sort of shelter in the area for winter season overnighters. This will allow us to take advantage of the incredible skiing/riding with a fresh set of legs to burn on the slopes. When this thing is finished, we will shoe or ski up the day before, crash in the igloo (hoping it snows like hell) then wake up at dawn to carve fresh lines on the almost limitless terrain. I can’t wait till I have something up there to call home...watch for more blogs on this!
