Floating Colorado: The Colorado River.

  1. Great Picture Alex! Did you go with a commercial rafting company? Those rapids look pretty intense. The highest I've ever been through are class IV, and those look like they are more intense than that!

  2. Hey Alex, the conundrum of your photographs amaze me. You have an eye for beauty my fine son. That rafting looks pretty gnarly be sure you don't bring the kids and if you do - bring your vest. Do you have any tips on fishing?

  3. Hey Lisa and JP,
We used a professional guide for this trip.
Colorado Whitewater Rafting in Glenwood. Check em out here...

We did their half day float that includes the following sections for the Colorado River; Shoshone rapids, Baptism, Tuttle's Tumble, Tombstone, The Wall, and Maneater.

What a great time, along the way there was time to swim in the river, blast other boats with splashing attacks and enjoy the wildlife along the banks. We saw deer, minks, and cranes.

For Fishing this area, I would probably stick with large emergers or even spin fishing with shiny spoons, like the "Colorado".
